Was visiting a friend in Denver and needed to get some work done on the trip. Happened upon this coffee shop and was able to get everything I needed done! Great coffee, comfy chairs/tables, lots of outlets, and quiet environment. Also the local art pieces on the walls are all super cool!

To the woman with the gray/purplish mohawk: you should not be working in a coffee house. Please take your misery and work somewhere without customers because it seems like you despise interacting with them. Will not say "hi" back, barely says a word when taking money or handing you your drink, will have you stand there waiting at the register while she does not acknowledge you, then treats you like you're a burden for ordering. Sorry to post a 1-star, Tenn Street Coffee & Books, but she is going to run off more customers than me. Other baristas are friendly, and the atmosphere is good otherwise

One of my favorite coffee shops for working, and I have tried a ton in Denver. It has a bright, cozy, mini library vibe and good sized tables for groups. Side street parking is easy to find too. An underrated little shop for sure

Husband and I have been trying small batch coffee shops for about 2 years now. We live in Aurora but our chiropractor is in Arvada so we travel the I-70 corridor quite a bit. For some reason, Tenn St has NEVER come up in my searches until this morning! What?! Husband used to attend networking meetings down the street at the Cozy Cottage and did not know the coffee shop was there! So crazy. But I fell in love the minute we walked in the door! As a book lover, how could you not?! It’s so cozy and welcoming and charming and…. You get my point. The vinyl station is just 🫶🏻 How unique! It’s clean and the baristas were friendly. We did not utilize the restroom or have food so I can’t comment on those. The parking seems to be all street and when I say all, that makes it sound like there’s more/easy parking. I would not say that. 😄 And the coffee is ok. It’s not great but it’s not bad by any means. Just not as flavorful as expected. We got vanilla lattes and they prob’ly just needed more vanilla but they were busy so we didn’t want to bother. It wasn’t that serious. Coffee for us can’t taste like coffee so…. 😁 The coffee wasn’t bitter tasting or super strong or anything so it was fine. And we had the best conversation with another customer! I love that! I think we’ll come back in two weeks on the way to our next appt.
