Best swim lessons for kiddos and we’ve tried other rec centers in Lakewood and wheat ridge. The ratio of swim classes are small and they seem invested in getting kids comfortable in the water. Would definitely recommend!

Great rec center! My kids and I go all the time. Clean and friendly. My only two cons. That they have basket ball leagues, and take the court up for all day to half a day. Then my boys have to go to Green Mtn. Thats seriously frustrating. I wish they could balance that better or spread leagues between the three recs and not take the courts away for so long. One other thing. I wish the temp would be warmer in the pool. I stopped going cause its a little cool. Otherwise a great, clean place.

Not a great experience taking classes here. They have a registration system that changed during the time that I was there so you can only register 2 weeks at a time and I couldn’t keep track of when I did or didn’t register. The early morning body pump would fill up fast and even though I attended regularly there seemed to always be a problem with registration. Not to mention super awkward if you’re running behind at all because all they care about is timing, they literally have a roster and don’t wait for anyone. I find the other local option for body pump to be a much better environment there’s more room in the class. It’s more laid back and no one has shamed me for not registering correctly or running behind. It’s also a more affordable price point.

Kayak lessons are great. Veterans can participate for free and have priority. All equipment is available upon request. Contact Carmody staff for dates, times, and for equipment manager info. And thank you to the life girls for not locking me in the locker room....as l was the very last person to leave the locker room !!! Whew... that was close.
