Poboys Creole Cafe

Just tried this place for the first time today, and let me tell y’all I am so glad I did! The crawfish étouffée is the best I’ve had in the city… The flavor is spot on, the spaces and spiciness are right, and everything tastes fresh! Had a crawfish Poboy, too, and that was on point as well! The bread was just right – little bit of crunch on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. The crawfish was fried beautifully, and the room a lot brought it all together. Needless to say, I brought home more to share with the family, and so I could keep eating on it later on today I will definitely be back!

The etouffee was delicious. Hit the spot. . . Went back the next day for a fried shrimp poboy, side of etouffee and side of red beans and rice to share with our mom, who I moved here from New Orleans. We loved it!

I’m originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, and spent over half my life in the heart of Cajun country. One bite of this fried shrimp po’boy instantly took me back home. Perfectly crispy shrimp, great bread, and that unmistakable Gulf Coast flavor, these guys are the real deal.

I was at Edgewater and saw a creole inspired restaurant and jumped at it. Talked to a guy named Benny or something and he was a nice enough guy. Food tasted homemade and was a reasonable price. I got the etouffee (sp?) and honestly...pretty damn tasty. I will be back.
