Had reservations and were seated immediately. Feels like an old pub in England sort of. Has a coastal sea vibe. Very cozy feeling. Took awhile to get a waiter, and he was a little slow in general, however he was extremely friendly and had great suggestions and had been working there for 64 years. The brown palace in general has a more laid back feel with service and mostly it’s just me who probably was impatient instead of enjoying the moment. It was overall a wonderful experience. Martini is a heavy poor, have some beers on tap, duck fries were fire!!! Fish was fresh. Oysters were delightful and worth the price, and the flat iron was cooked perfectly. It felt like a clean place. And the food was dressed up for a pub like atmosphere. Perfect ambience for me. Doesn’t feel fancy but produces quality items. Overall a little pricey. However seafood in Denver is difficult to get and to cook right. We will be back for sure!

One of the BEST experinces in Downtown! Forgot I was deep in the city. Beautiful. Historic. Caught an amazing jazz band Saturday night! Cozy & Quaint. Them chairs... I could sit there all night! 🥰 Staff - On point. Didn't miss a beat. The small tavern feel was so refreshing. Food absolutely amazing. I will say their menu is seasonal - as you may not see everything the online menu shows, but easy to adapt. Delicious. The Bartender. Bravissimo 👌 *Parking - street parking is a gamble, but a block away is a secure parking garage $8 on the weekends. *There is valet as well.

The Ships Tavern at Brown Palace is the place to enjoy a cocktail. The bartender, Kyle, was professional, welcoming and knowledgeable about cocktails and recommendations. The cocktail menu has a fantastic selection and the ambiance is like no other. You are stepping into a historic Tavern. Try the Old Fashion cocktail or a glass of Italian prosecco. You will not be disappointed.

Went to this place with a few friends. The service was really good and she was very nice. They have a nice bar here and the atmosphere is pretty cool. With four separate meals the best thing to eat was the chopped salad.
