Let me start by saying that my opinion of Garland Park is completely biased, as I am the proud grandson of the late Dave T. Garland. I grew up in that remote area of Denver and have many fond memories of spending time there. I knew that there had been some(and still is) restoration of the park for flood water maintenance. After my recent visit, I was relieved to see that much of it has been completed. Always a pleasant time at Garland Park and I have to give a shout out to the Parks department for maintaining this park, since it's existence.

Large well maintained park with walking paths, baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and volleyball courts. There's a pond that attracts ducks and geese. Right now, it has pelicans and herons.

Such a beautiful little park. Nice bike paths, good for walking and the lake was amazing! Must have been five or six photographers out with telephoto lenses taking shots of the various species of waterbird (including some I've never seen in the wild despite living here 40 years) and a ton of turtles sunning themselves. Really made our day!
