CUTE! I forgot this little spot existed. Stumbled on it this week with the kiddo. Had the place to ourselves for a while in the morning. Super quiet. Love all the big trees for shade. Grass had just been mowed. Playground was in good condition. Clean and minimal graffiti for its age. A couple ducks in the pond were fun to see.

As a kid we called this park mosquito park and I'm fairly certain in the 90s it was also called mosquito park by neighborhood kids . There was a beautiful willow tree beside the large pond that often had mosquitoes and gnats , and I remember hearing stories about kids in the 90s and 2000s grabbing a handful of vines and swinging above the water from the willow tree . I remember the willow tree and playing around it and by the water more that the park . Wonderful memories , and a safe space for myself and a close friend back then .

Back in the day, it was called Smiths Pond. My how it has changed to a lush green park, with childrens outdoor play equipment.
