Came here for the first time last weekend for a group date night and we were all blown away by the Louisiana-inspired dishes and flavor combinations of Nola Jane. This place “smacked” to put it gently. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes but first our review :) We loved the exposed brick walls and the Denver Sports decor, the close proximity to Ball Arena and the kitchen being open late are ideal. The different bars/sitting rooms made each space a different vibe (Upstairs bar was our fav) If you sit upstairs you will need to order from the bar - only downfall on busy nights. We had a combination of plates and drinks. The plates were big and full of flavor, pictures and ratings are in the photos. I could talk for hours on how good the food was but limited space here. Every bite was absolutely delicious, each plate was its own experience. Drinks were Nola Jane Old Fashioned 10/10, Moscow Mule 8/10, Expresso Martini 9/10, Nola Paloma 10/10, Hurricane 8/10. We highly recommend the BBQ Shrimp Mac n Cheese (not pictured), Jalapeño Hush puppies (not pictured), Red Beans and Rice, Blackened Catfish and Jambalaya.

Food was really good! We ordered the catfish over dirty rice with a salad and the beef Po’boy with a salad too. The beef Po’boy was delicious, and the house-made gravy was such a nice touch. The catfish was cooked perfectly and the dirty rice was flavorful. The restaurant played good music which is always a plus for me. Service, though, wasn’t great. Our server kept mixing my partner and me up with the couple next to us. He wasn’t very friendly or attentive — just kind of there. Great food and good atmosphere, but the service could definitely be better.

We went to check this place out it was actually pretty good. I did not think I would be a huge fan of this kind of food because of the spice content but it was really good. Highly recommend the barbecue shrimp mac and cheese. This definitely looks like a good drinking bar to sit up at the bar stools.

Awesome establishment with a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The servers and bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable without being overbearing. I ordered the crawfish étouffée, and presentation-wise, it looked great. The texture was on point—nice and hearty, with tender crawfish and a smooth, rich sauce. I appreciated that it wasn’t overpowered with spices, which makes it approachable for most people. You could really taste the base flavors without them being masked by too much heat. That said, I was expecting a little more depth and boldness in the seasoning. It was good—solid, comforting, and well-prepared—but it didn’t quite have that layered, soulful flavor that reminds you of grandma standing over the stove all afternoon. If you’ve never had étouffée before, you’ll absolutely enjoy it. If you grew up on it, you might find yourself wishing for just a bit more of that traditional kick. Overall, still a great experience, and I’d definitely come back to try more from the menu.
