The Capital Grille

I visited The Capital Grille for lunch on a weekday after hearing a lot about it for years. It’s located in the popping and popular Larimer Square that has plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. Upon walking in, it seemed clear that it was an upscale, fine dining establishment as expected. When you walk in, there is a dress code policy showcased right away. It did not seem like the dress code was enforced as there was a patron in a tank top at the bar and I walked in dressed a little more casually than business casual. It may just be because it was a weekday lunch time though. The food was pretty good. I honestly thought it was going to be a bit better considering the reputation and price point. It definitely will do the job for a business lunch if that is what you are visiting for. The steak frites were amazing. The salmon dish was a bit bland overall. I highly recommend the lobster bisque as the first course for the lunch special. It was great with plenty of lobster. Service was great and operated like a well-maintained machine as you would expect from a place with a reputation like The Capital Grille. I will be back to bring customers for business lunches.

Wow! Absolutely amazed at how special The Capital Grille made our anniversary. Every single waiter wished us a happy anniversary every chance they got. They decorated our table with hearts and a *personalized* card wishing us a happy anniversary, and even gave us a free anniversary dessert. Definitely recommend a reservation for celebrating a special occasion - they go all out! Would've given it 5 stars even without the above and beyond service. Staff was friendly and attentive, the ribeye was one of the best I've ever had, and the atmosphere was elegant, classy, and perfect! My partner said the filet mignon was one of the best he's ever had as well, too. Thank you so much for making our day so special. This was one of our favorite meals we've shared in our relationship!

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience here. The staff is wonderful, extremely attentive and knowledgeable. From the gentleman who always knew the perfect time to refill our water glasses to our server who was always available when we needed her but never overbearing, to the kind hostesses, everyone was on their A game and it shows. The food is just what you want from a nice steakhouse. The Brussel sprouts should not be missed..they were a highlight as well as the Mac and cheese. We also loved the steaks as well as the bacon app. If you’re a dessert person the cheesecake and chocolate torte were to die for. I have nothing but praise for this spot and can’t wait to go back again

Went there for dinner tonight and it was amazing. We let them know we were celebrating our anniversary and they were so sweet to us. Decorated the table and even gave us a dessert on the house. The server Autumn was so nice and helpful and explained everything on the menu for us, we went with her suggestions and couldn’t have been happier. The food was incredible. 10/10 recommend going here if you can
