I love the upgrade on this park. They have added new safer playground equipment, and so many more options for the children to play on. My favorite factor is they've added swings for all ages and a cool meri-go-round. We visit this park a lot since it is right around the corner for us.

Very beautiful park! I just hate seeing trash and litter in the rivers, we should be keeping our parks clean and tidy! Bunch of chunky prairie dogs scattered throughout the park, love to see that! Beautiful birds were seen as well.

The park itself is nice. But Aurora PD were circling the park menacingly when I was there. They were literally driving on the grass and down the walking path (side walk.) Afterward hanging out in the parking lot for a bit they screeched their tires when leaving on a call.

I loved this park- every morning, for the last 8 years, we've walked the trails. It was beautiful- we'd see wildlife, deer, lonely bucks, coyotes. It was beautiful and peaceful. Now the city focuses on the playground and indeed they keep the paths clear of snow very fast. But that's the only good thing. There is trash and brocken glass and human waste from Mississippi all the way down to Illif. The water is dirty, there are homeless people camping everywhere, started small, then the tents came, now bringing their trucks into the grass. No more deer, no more beauty, the coyotes were pushed towards the ballfield and they don't seem afraid of humans anymore. No more hawks, no more bird watchers... trash after an event at the ball fields is there for days , being blown by the wind. Broken glass everywhere- so be careful when walking your dogs, grass fires , dirty and unsafe crossing at Mexico ( broken glass everywhere, trash, weird traffic signal that drivers do not respect ( it's 15sec, people!), speeding drivers, the bike lane collects trash and is unusable, huge patches of ice right at the crossing and on the trail in spots - plenty people had taken falls there . Grocery carts in the river, trash and waste everywhere, one Ranger patrolling (whom I believe is in charge of 10 parks), no police whatsoever.
